Open play in Vilnius is driven by Vilniaus šachmatų klubas. Its weekly blitz takes over Užupio kavinė on Užupio gatvė every Tuesday at 19:00, and on Mondays the club hosts unhurried games without a tournament at the bar Rūsio Aidai on Savičiaus gatvė, also from 19:00. An earlier Monday evening in the Dialogai food court of the Europa centre on Konstitucijos prospektas is described on an undated page, and its entry is marked as not confirmed.
The rest of this list follows the halls and the events. Kamilės šachmatų studija on Žalgirio gatvė hosts the club’s leagues, marathons and Friday variant evenings; the Panorama hotel on Seinų gatvė hosts the summer open and a monthly blitz; the Jewish community house on Pylimo gatvė holds seasonal Saturday rapids; the Senjorų avilys day centre lends its rooms to amateur championships; and Lukiškių aikštė hosted a simultaneous exhibition in July 2026 and a festival blitz in September.
